Movie Review
Set in the backdrop of Nallore, a small town in Thoothukudi District, the film revolves around Sub Inspector Durai Singam (Surya), who joined the service incisively because of his father’s (Radha Ravi's) wish. Durai Singam settles very dispute in town patiently with his gentle talks. Then comes Kavya (Anushka), a city girl on vacation who promptly falls in love with Durai Singam. Everything seems to be marked by good fortune until Mayil Vaaganam (Prakash Raj) comes across Durai Singam for a condition bail. Mayil Vaaganam sends one of his henchmen to sign instead of him. Durai Singam gets angered and opposes Mayil Vaaganam and Mayil Vaaganam was unable to do anything because the town is under control of Durai Singam and his supporters. But still, Mayil Vaaganam can't handle this embarrassment so he wantedly transfers Singam as Inspector for Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai. Mayil Vaagnam tortures and gives pressure to Durai Singam and Durai Singam decides to leave his job, but Kavya motivates Durai Singam with a long dialogue to oppose Mayil Vaaganam. In the meanwhile Mayil Vaaganam involves in child trafficking and kidnaps Kavya's sister. So Durai Singam takes action against it and due to this, Durai Singam gets promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Anti Kidnapping Force. From this point the cat and mouse chase starts between Durai Singam and Mayil Vaaganam. Finally Singam accomplishes his mission. This forms the climax to a movie that begins in Nallur(TN) and ends in Nellore(AP).
