MOVIE REVIEW

Karthik (Silambarasan Rajendar), is graduate in mechanical engineering in Chennai but aspires to become a filmmaker. Through his friend, Karthik gets introduced to a cinematographer, Ganesh (Ganesh Janardhanan). With the support of Ganesh, Karthik becomes an assistant director to K. S. Ravikumar. Karthik's family, who are Hindus, lives on rent on the bottom floor of a two storey house which belongs to Jessie's (Trisha Krishnan) family, a conservative Malayali  Catholic Christian family from Alappuzha, Kerala, who live on the floor upstairs. When Karthik meets Jessie for the first time, he falls in love with her. Karthik expresses his love one day to Jessie, who is afraid of speaking to other men around her strict father's sight, and ends up angering Jessie. The two meet several times and Jessie begins to admit that she also liked Karthik, but wants to refrain from any problems because she knows her father won't accept a Hindu to marry his daughter. Her parents came to know about their affair and arrange a marriage for her. But at the wedding, she refuses to marry the groom, displeasing everyone in her family. Karthik and Jessie continue to love each other without the knowledge of their parents. Suddenly, Jessie is forced by her father to marry and seeks Karthik's help, who was in Goa  for a film shooting. Karthik is unable to attend to her calls and messages as he was busy on the shooting spot and Jessie is unable to reach him. After a tense phonecall from Jessie, Karthik goes back one night to Chennai to check on Jessie. An angry and hurt Jessie makes a final decision to break up with Karthik because of her father's strong disapproval of their love. Later on, Karthik gets to know that Jessie got married and is settled abroad through his sister.

Two years later, Karthik meets Nandhini (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), who falls in love with him, but is rejected by Karthik who cites his previous affair with Jessie whom he could still not get over. He then comes up with a script for his first film, which happens to be his very own love story. He calls upon Naga Chaitanya as the films protagonist, Nandhini as the female lead and Ganesh as the film's cinematographer, and the film was eventually titled Jessie. During shooting for the film in New York, United States, he randomly sees Jessie again and she comes and speaks with him, they discuss their differences and both get married the same day and are happy again. This again leads to another part of the film which forms the actual climax of the story.

MOVIE REVIEW

In Gotham City, the Joker robs a mob bank with his accomplices, whom he tricks into killing one another, ultimately killing the last one himself. While investigating the robbery, Batman and Lieutenant James Gordon contemplate including new district attorney, Harvey Dent, in their plan to eradicate the mob. Batman, however, wonders if Dent can be trusted. Wayne runs into Rachel Dawes and Dent, who are dating, and after talking to Dent, he realizes Dent's sincerity and decides to host a fundraiser for him. Mob bosses Sal Maroni, Gambol, and the Chechen meet with other underworld gangsters to discuss both Batman and Dent, who have been cracking down on the mobster's operations. Lau, a Chinese mafia accountant, informs them that he has hidden their money and fled to Hong Kong in an attempt to preempt Gordon's plan to seize the mobsters' funds and hide from Dent's jurisdiction. The Joker appears and offers to kill Batman for half of the mafia's money, but they flatly refuse and Gambol places a bounty on the Joker's head. Not long after, the Joker kills Gambol and takes control of his men.

In Hong Kong, Batman captures Lau using a skyhook, and delivers him to the Gotham City police, where Lau agrees to testify against the mob. Dent and Gordon arrest the mob, and in retaliation the Joker issues an ultimatum to Gotham: people will die each day until Batman reveals his identity. When Commissioner Gillian B. Loeb and the judge presiding over the mob trials are killed the public readily blames Batman, prompting Wayne to decide to reveal his identity. Before Bruce can turn himself in, Dent holds a press conference to try and persuade the public not to sell Batman out just because of one terrorist. The public, though grateful for everything Batman has done for the city, insists that things have now reached a point where Batman must make the sacrifice, so Dent announces that he himself is Batman and is arrested as part of a plan to draw the Joker out of hiding. The Joker attempts to ambush the police convoy carrying Dent, but Batman and Gordon intervene and capture him. In recognition of his actions, Gordon is appointed the new police commissioner.

Later that night, Dent and Dawes disappear. At the police station, Batman interrogates the Joker, who reveals that Dent's and Dawes' police escorts were corrupt and have placed them in warehouses rigged with explosives on opposite sides of the city — far enough apart so they could not both be saved. Batman leaves to save Dawes, while Gordon and the police head after Dent. With the aid of a smuggled bomb, the Joker escapes police custody with Lau. Batman arrives, but finds Dent instead of Dawes. Batman successfully saves Dent, but the ensuing explosion disfigures Dent's face. Gordon arrives at Dawes' location too late, and she perishes when the bomb detonates. Unable to deal with this new level of chaos, Maroni goes to Gordon and offers him the Joker's location. Aboard a cargo ship, the Joker burns Lau to death atop a pile of half the mob's money, and has the Chechen killed before taking control of his men.

Meanwhile, an M&A lawyer working as a consultant to Wayne Enterprises, Coleman Reese, deduces Batman's identity and, after failing to blackmail the company, decides to go public. The Joker, realizing that he defines himself by his struggle with Batman, changes his mind about revealing Batman's identity and issues a public ultimatum: either Reese is killed within the hour, or he will blow up a hospital. When attempts on Reese's life are foiled, the Joker goes to the evacuated hospital, disguised as a nurse, and frees Dent from his restraints, convincing him to exact revenge on the people whose corruption led to Dawes' death. Dent begins by flipping a coin to decide if he should kill the Joker, and spares him. The Joker destroys the hospital on his way out, and then escapes with a hijacked bus full of hospital patients.

Out of the hospital, Dent goes on a personal vendetta, confronting Maroni and the corrupt cops one by one, flipping his coin to decide their fates. Now with complete control over the Gotham mob, the Joker announces to the public that anyone left in Gotham at nightfall will be subject to his rule. With the bridges and tunnels out of the city closed due to a warning by the Joker, authorities begin evacuating people by ferry. The Joker has explosives placed on two of the ferries — one with convicts, who were evacuated in an effort to keep the Joker from freeing them, and the other with civilians — telling the passengers the only way to save themselves is to trigger the explosives on the other ferry; otherwise, he will destroy both at midnight. Batman locates the Joker and the hostages he has taken. Realizing the Joker has disguised the hostages as his own men, Batman is forced to attack both Gordon's SWAT team and the Joker's henchmen to save the real hostages.

The Joker's plan to destroy the ferries fails after the passengers on the civilian ferry decide to destroy the convicts, but cannot bring themselves to do it, and on the convict ferry a prisoner offers to do it, saying the guards can say he took it by force. However, he throws it down an air vent instead. Batman finds the Joker, and after a brief fight, subdues and captures him, preventing him from destroying both ferries. When Batman refuses to kill the Joker, the Joker acknowledges that Batman is truly incorruptible, but that Dent was not, and reveals that he has unleashed Dent upon the city. Leaving the Joker for the SWAT team, Batman searches for Dent. At the remains of the building where Dawes died, Batman finds Dent holding Gordon and his family at gunpoint. Dent judges the innocence of Batman, himself, and Gordon's son through three coin tosses. As the result of the first two flips, he shoots Batman in the abdomen and spares himself. Before Dent can determine the boy's fate, Batman, who was wearing body armor, tackles him over the side of the building. Gordon's son is saved, but Dent and Batman fall to the ground below, resulting in Dent's death.[8] Knowing that the citizens of Gotham will lose hope and all morale if Dent's rampage becomes public news, Batman convinces Gordon to hold him responsible for the murders. Images are shown of Gordon delivering the eulogy at Dent's funeral and smashing the Bat-Signal. Police swarm the building, and Batman flees as Gordon and his son watch.

MOVIE REVIEW

The movie opens with John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier from the Army Special Forces, lying on the ground in his army gear with gunshot wounds. Coins begin to fall over him as he recalls a childhood trip to the U.S. Coin mint. He goes on to compare himself to a coin in the United States of America's army and states that the last thing he thought about before he blacked out, was "You".

In 2000, John is on leave when he meets Savannah Lynn Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), a college student on spring break. In a matter of days, Savannah and John fall in love. John meets Savannah's family as well as her neighbor, Tim Wheddon (Henry Thomas) and Tim's autistic son, Alan, who looks up to Savannah. Savannah meets and befriends John's father, a reclusive man who is only interested in his coin collection. John tells Savannah that his father has always been obsessed with coins and has not been much of a father to John, whose mother is not in the picture. Savannah mentions to John, that his father, like Alan, may have autism. This upsets John, who believes Savannah is calling his father retarded. He is so caught up in his anger that he gets into a fight with Savannah's rich neighbor, Randy (Scott Porter), accidentally punching Tim in the process. John apologizes to Tim the next day and leaves Savannah a note, seeking her forgiveness before his leave comes to an end. Savannah gets the note, and they spend one last day together. John returns to the army and he and Savannah begin a long distance relationship through handwritten letters. John believes that year will be his final year of enlistment, but, following the September 11 attacks, is torn between returning home and his sense of duty. He is given eighteen hours off, which he spends with Savannah and her family as well as with his father. He asks Savannah for her opinion on whether or not he should re-enlist, and she tells him to do what he feels is right. Like the rest of the soldiers in his unit, John chooses to re-enlist.

Over the next several years, John faces increasingly dangerous missions and begins to live almost entirely for Savannah's letters. However, John and Savannah find themselves drifting apart. Finally, Savannah, sad but resigned, sends John a Dear John letter, informing him that she has become engaged to someone else. John is deeply depressed and frustrated by the news, and believes she is engaged to Randy. On a mission, he enters a dangerous area and is shot several times by an enemy. His captain suggests that John go home and spend time with his father, but John, still upset about Savannah, he chooses to re-enlist again. He decides that he will make a career out of the Army and stay enlisted for as long as possible. He is informed after another mission that he is being sent home, because his father suffered a heart attack. John spends the last few days of his father's life by his side, and writes him a letter. His father has difficulty opening it, so John reads it to him. It is then that the viewers find out that John's speech at the beginning of the film addressed his father, not Savannah. He and his father connect in a tearful moment, and his father dies. John decides to go see Savannah, and discovers she married Tim, not her rich friend. Savannah tells him Tim has cancer, and is not allowed to leave the hospital. She says that the only way he can come home is by having an experimental drug that they cannot afford. John visits Tim in the hospital and leaves Savannah. John then sells his father's coin collection and donates the money anonymously to finance Tim's operation. The next scene shows John back with his unit as he uses one of his father's coins for "fate." John then gets an unexpected letter from Savannah. In the letter, Savannah writes about how she knows that John sold his father's coin collection to help Tim with his operation and thanks him for doing so. Tim, however, dies after 2 months. Moved by Savannah's letter, John gets a new lease on life and decides to leave the Army after his last tour. In the last scene of the film, John sees Savannah on the street and they embrace.

Movie Details

The fisherman, Spyros, finds a coffin adrift in the sea discovering the baby Perseus  and his dead mother, Danaë, inside. Spyros decides to raise Perseus as his own. Years later, Perseus and his family are fishing when they witness a group of soldiers from Argos destroying a massive statue of Zeus and declaring war on the gods. Following the fall of the statue Hades commands harpies to massacre the soldiers then rises from the ocean destroying the boat Perseus and his family are on. Perseus fails to save his family and passes out on driftwood. The surviving soldiers take him back to Argos.

During a feast for the returning soldiers King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia of Argos compare themselves and their daughter, Andromeda, to the gods. Hades appears and kills the remaining soldiers but Perseus is unaffected. Hades realizes Perseus is a demigod and reveals Zeus is his father. Hades kills the queen, and threatens that in 10 days, the Kraken will be released and if princess Andromeda is not sacrificed Argos will be destroyed.

The Argives see Perseus as an agent of the gods and imprison him but the king seeks his help saving his daughter. Io, who has been watching over Perseus his entire life, advises him to help the king. Perseus embarks to find the Stygian Witches with a group of soldiers, their leader Draco, and Io. Hades enlists Acrisius, a disfigured man who was married to Danaë when Zeus impregnated her with Perseus. When Acrisius planned to kill his wife and the new born Perseus, Zeus sent down a thunderbolt from Olympus, badly scarring and disfiguring Acrisius's entire body. Acrisius tells Hades: "There is no Acrisius; only Calibos." Hades imbues Calibos with superhuman powers to aid him in killing Perseus. Calibos attacks the group, when his hand is severed the blood hits the sand and creates giant scorpions. Perseus and the Argives manage to kill the first two scorpions, but are surrounded by three more. As they are about to attack, the scorpions are suddenly calmed by a group of Djinn, Sand-Demons with magical powers. There is initially mistrust between the two groups, until the chief heals Perseus and the two sides agree to cooperate.

At the rocky Garden of Stygia the three Stygian Witches tell Perseus that Medusa's head will be able to kill the Kraken, but he will die in the process. After leaving the witches Perseus talks to Zeus who offers to make Perseus a god but he refuses. Zeus understands that he can not change Perseus's mind and gives him a golden drachma. Persues uses the coin to bribe Charon (Ferrier of the dead) for passage into the Underworld and they enter Medusa's lair. Medusa turns all the remaining soldiers into stone, the Djinn destroys himself with his heart, weakening Medusa. Draco, who is injured by one of Medusa's arrows, rescues Perseus by skewering Medusa with a stone pillar from the ceiling. He allows himself to be turned to stone to give Perseus a clear shot at Medusa's head. Perseus kills Medusa, but as he exits the temple, Calibos stabs and kills Io. Perseus fights and kills Calibos, turning him back into Acrisius in human form. Perseus takes Pegasus back to Argos where the Kraken is destroying the city.

Hades confronts Zeus explaining that while the other Gods rely on the humans love and worship for power, over time he has become able to feed off their fear and hatred. The destruction of Argos will briefly give him enough power to overthrow all of the Olympians at once. Zeus attempts to banish Hades back to the underworld, but Hades already has enough power to defeat Zeus. Hades quickly overpowers him but an injured Zeus reveals that Perseus lives. Hades is enraged and leaves to oversee the Kraken's attack and ensure victory.

Hades commands his creatures to attack Perseus and steal Medusa's head. Perseus defeats the creatures and regains the head, as well as successfully turning the Kraken to stone before it consumes Andromeda. Hades appears once more and boasts that he cannot die because he is immortal; but Perseus throws his sword, charged together with a bolt of lightning from Zeus's which banishes him to the Underworld as the hope of the people after the Kraken's defeat allows Zeus to regain his strength. Perseus then saves Andromeda from drowning when the apparatus used to restrain her falls into the ocean, but refuses to become king of Argos.

Zeus appears and offers to make Perseus a god on Olympus, but he refuses. Zeus notes that Hades will return one day for revenge when mankind is in fear. Since Perseus is intent to stay on Earth, Zeus resurrects Io.
